You are a writer

A few years back, I never found it in me to refer to myself as a ‘writer.’

In my head, I thought a writer is someone who always has something to write about. Ideas, arguments, opinions, things to say. And well, I’ve never been anywhere near that. I was scared to call myself one, because what if I run out of things to write about. What then would I call myself? What would I do with this title?

If anyone had told me back then that I’d reach a point where I write every day for 8 months straight, I would’ve called them crazy. Absolutely.

Yet right now, I (so thankfully) only wish there’s enough paper and ink in this world to contain all that I have inside me. Because there isn’t just words. There’s feelings. Thoughts. Experiences. Love. Inspiration. Reflections. Revelations. Curiosities. Possibilities. And more. Way more than what would fit my old definition of a writer.

A writer is a human. A human who allows themselves to be human.

A writer is a voice that believes in its right to be heard, regardless of the medium.

We’ve been created and sent to this Earth by the Best Writer. He brought our stories and little details into existence. Through His Pen. His Creativity. His Words. His Brilliance.

And He’s created that within each one of us.

Yes, you, reading this right now.

You’re a writer.
