Vlog

It's true I like to call and think of myself as a writer, yet I still enjoy speaking my thoughts out loud every now and then!

I mostly Vlog in Arabic, and yet I try to add subtitles from time to time.
*Working on it!*

One of my struggles through quarantine was maintaining “structure” in my life while working from home. I lost myself in the process at the beginning; working for long hours and confusing my brain with what my alone time sounds like. So I had to pause and make changes. On April 11, I completed my first 100 days of daily writing and celebrated with my sisters! They also brought along some awesome insights about creating in times of Corona.
I had some downs during my time alone amidst the pandemic and all that was happening around, but was lucky enough to be able to find comfort in the words of the Qur’an. :’)
Disconnecting from the Internet for 40 days during 2020 turned out to be… well, very much needed, but what I came back to find after was more than my human mind could take in at the time.
My beautiful friend, Mena, surprised me with a book made up of reflections about my own words, from the most genuine people I’m so blessed to have crossed paths with. It’s the best gift I’ve ever received in my entire life!
Celebrating 250 days of writing with the two people I’m most excited to be watching them write along.
From “The Quarantine Poetry Show!” – My first attempt at spoken word poetry and the first timeI perform live!
Leaking old footage from one of my so many interesting experiences with getting lost around the streets of Cairo.
Finally celebrating a year of writing!
In case you needed to hear this today: You are not for everyone, and that’s okay! (:
Ramadan Mubarak! I hope you have a lovely month, and you get the chance to set your goals before you start! The tiniest possible goals, because that’s how I keep learning “sustainability” works after all.

Let me know what you think!
