In-betweens

There’s so much mercy (and wisdom) in the fact that He allows us to be in-between certain roles at different phases of our lives. Being a daughter and a mother at the same time. Being an uncle and a nephew alongside. Being the friend who always loves/gives more and the friend who constantly only receives love and care from someone else. Bring a teacher who attends classes as a student. Being a therapist who goes to therapy. Leading a team while being led by some other leader. Always being in-between roles. So you learn how to be patient when you’re more of an authority figure, and how to never despise occasionally having to be on the receiving end. Understanding that just like you know everything about something, it’s possible you might still know nothing about something else. Realizing that just like you keep getting hurt, it might be inevitable that you’d end up hurting others as well. Learning to forgive whenever you yourself are in a desperate need to be forgiven again and again. And seeing things from so many different angles that you stop expecting anything in the world to be so perfectly structured or make perfect sense.
